The opening and reception on Saturday, May 21, 2022 was a big success with 80 people attending. The Peninsula Museum of Art gallery, located at the The Shops at Tanforan, proved the perfect venue this show. The exhibition includes 62 art quilts representing the work of 46 SAQA Northern Californnia/Northern Nevada artists. The layout of the show allows visitors to view the spectrum of colors almost as if they were standing inside a prism. Two of my pieces, Blue Feather and Mandala Blue, were juried into the Prism Play exhibit. Read more about my pieces here.
Working with the Joen Wolfrom color tool, participating artists submitted monochromatic work that, together, represent the full spectrum from cool yellow through green to blue, and on to violet, red, and orange, ending in warm yellow.
