Priscilla Read – Art Journey

Priscilla Read is a lifelong Bay Area resident born in Oakland, California.  She studied nursing at Samuel Merritt Hospital School of Nursing and California State University, Hayward and worked many years as a nurse while pursuing her interest in the arts.  She has shown her mixed media fiber art in juried group exhibitions and her art quilt Yellow Shoes is included in the permanent collection of the Kresage Art Museum at Michigan State University, MI. She recently completed the Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Visual Arts program at the University of California, Berkeley Extension.
