I’ve continued with the sketchbook pages of everyday objects and am now adding watercolor to the sketchbook drawings. I’m taking an online class with Jane LaFazzio whose work I love. A major objective of the class Sketching & Watercolor: Journal Style: ON LOCATION, is to go to places like the local coffee shop, a museum, aquarium or zoo and create watercolor pages live, “on location”. For the first week, we’re just warming up – getting used to a new medium and techniques at home – and next week well head out with our travel kits. Here are a couple of my first watercolor drawings:
