One of the final color study assignments in Jane Davies’ online class Unlocking the Secrets of Color was to create a warm landscape collage using our painted papers and the techniques we learned in class. 
I chose a few of my warm collage papers and some warm images that I liked. The dark plant on the white and yellow magazine picture reminded me of a palm tree. To play up that idea, I added shapes from my dark collage paper. The image seemed backlit against a bright summer sky. So the sunglasses seemed just the thing. I added the frame to make it look like a vacation photograph.
