Portrait 1

Our in-class assignment for the next few weeks is to create quick portraits of classmates during the class period.  Our teacher wants us to continue to paint loosely with lots of paint and make quick decisions.  We probably would want not paint this way ultimately, but Eva feels it is a valuable exercise and worthwhile as part of our training.  Here’s mine from the Thursday class.  We had about 2 1/2 hours total, and took turns posing for each other in 15 minute stents.  With that amount of time, plus some breaks, I’d say the painting was completed in a little more than one hour.
