In January I chose “Resilience” as my word of the year for 2020. Little did I know at the time how much I would rely on my resilience to keep going through the challenges of the pandemic, fires, orange skies, and smoky air. Continuing to create art during this time has proven to be a resource to recharge whenever I felt discouraged. I used the iPad app Procreate to draw the background for this piece, then printed it on fabric. I added freehand cut letters and machine appliquéd them to the background. I finished the piece with machine quilting and hand stitching. More resilience will be needed in the days ahead, i know I have what it takes to make it through.

I love it. Glad you are making lemonade!! Well done. Love Zannah
