This weekend I created a new set of fabric postcards using materials created a while back in a class by Valerie S. Goodwin, an architect and artist whose art is inspired by imagery from maps. In her class, I created a small composition – a street map based on the letter “E”, but never finished it.
I’m currently thinking of ways to create a series, so I thought “what about slicing it up to create a set of postcards?”
I looked for areas that interested me and created several 4″X6″ fabric postcards, a few are shown below.
